About: RIT – NYS COE in Advanced & Sustainable Manufacturing
Service description:
RIT completed a 1-day technology assessment as part of a VSM event for future state. The 1-day was shorter than typical, upon AMT request to suit client needs. The output was very thorough and touched on many advanced technology options. The company did not pursue most suggestions – some were in place, some too progressive. The research on smart gauging provided was very helpful.

Medium sized integrator – pricing is lower than larger firms, but sometimes there are lingering bugs/kinks if the end user client isn’t as rigorous about requirements or proactive about risks/failures. Suggest using PFMEA with clients as a design review tool.

About: Vorne
Service description:
I participated in a demo. It’s a standalone solution that can be set up quickly out of the box once sensors purchased by client. A one time fee of ~$4500-$5500 (2024 pricing with sensors considered). It only tracks the bottleneck’s status and won’t provide root cause of an issue, but is a great cost-effective first step to dashboards.
